Athletics Varsity Boys Wrestling

Entering his 36th year on the coaching scene and 21st overall at 皇冠体育官网, Ken Garvin has turned the 皇冠体育官网 wrestling team from a new program into a feared opponent.

For his successes, he was named GISA AAA State Coach of the Year after leading the Vikings to a 2009 State Championship. The Vikings also finished as State Runners-Up in 2010. In the GHSA, the Vikings continued their run of excellence with Garvin at the helm. 皇冠体育官网 placed fifth in the 2011 GHSA State Match. The Vikings have had numerous State qualifiers and placers in both GHSA and GISA/GIAA during Garvin’s tenure at 皇冠体育官网. Garvin’s overall record going into the 2024-25 school year stands at 207-118.

He also serves as the Head Coach of the 皇冠体育官网 Middle School football team.

Garvin graduated from high school at Mt. de Sales Academy in Macon and attended Macon State College. He and his wife Paige have three sons: Mac (Class of 2019), Marshall (Class of 2022), and Mason (8th Grade). He and his family attend Northway Church. He enjoys grilling, fishing, and hunting in his spare time.
